Valeria Rosales Morsa 2023 Charcoal and pencil 46” x 30”
Horror constantly shadow us, no matter the circumstance. They manifest in various forms, and my artwork represents the chilling terror and terrifying fear that these words trigger. My mind brings up images of horrible deformed creatures when I think over horror or paranormal phenomena. These creatures appear from the darkness, therefor the black background. Their red eyes, often associated with devilish figures, stand out clearly. This piece was born from my unforgettable experience with the paranormal in Mexico, where the image of this creature consistently haunted my thoughts.
Valeria Rosales Soul 2023 Acrylic paint, marker 45” x 30" We all have 2 sides of what we dream of when we go to sleep. Dreams and nightmares are very similar but have different meanings. My artwork shows how i feel when i dream my special dreams and my nightmares. Once i had a nightmare where i was being sucked in my bed which turned into water and started drowning. That's how i show the blue painted half of my canvas. And the top part is when i dream about my future life and how i hope it'll turn out. Some dreams might even have realistic meanings. And the reason i made this piece was because dreaming is my favorite part of sleep, and i also catch myself daydreaming a lot about random stuff.
